When looking at a side view, a slanted monument resembles a triangle. The face of the has a steep angle and the back is straight. Slanted monuments can sit directly on the concrete foundation or be paired with a granite base. The main sub categories are traditional and western slant. A traditional style has front nosing, and a Western Slant has no front nosing, meaning the face goes completely to the ground.
